I'm a Senior DevOps Platform & Site Reliability Engineer based in Phoenix, Arizona, currently working at Early Warning Services in Scottsdale. My work sits at the intersection of platform engineering, cloud architecture, and security — building the internal platforms that let product teams ship faster without breaking things.
Day to day, that means Kubernetes and AWS as the foundation, Terraform for repeatable infrastructure, GitOps with Argo CD for delivery, and SLOs/error budgets to keep reliability measurable instead of anecdotal. I care a lot about the boring, disciplined parts of the job: policy-as-code guardrails, audit-ready evidence, and automation that removes toil instead of adding another dashboard nobody reads.
Outside of my day job, I build public, from-scratch portfolio projects — a regulated-FinTech Kubernetes platform blueprint, a self-hosted LLM guardrail system, and an automated job-search pipeline — and I contribute to CNCF/Kubernetes documentation. I hold 16 industry certifications spanning Kubernetes/CNCF, AWS, and platform tooling — including CNCF Kubestronaut and AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional — and I'm currently working toward Istio Certified Associate.

A reproducible platform blueprint for regulated FinTech teams: self-service Kubernetes app delivery on kind, PostgreSQL HA with PgBouncer and MinIO backups, Prometheus/Grafana/Sloth SLOs, Kyverno policy-as-code, a STRIDE threat model, and an extension adding a fully local AI-assistant tier with Ollama, Open WebUI, and pgvector behind Calico default-deny networking.
Runtime guardrails for a self-hosted LLM tier on Kubernetes, built to regulated-fintech standards: Calico default-deny with IMDS blocking, Envoy AI Gateway token budgets, Dex OIDC, a cosign supply chain, and 23 synthetic-PII containment tests.
